Healthy Start Coalition of Osceola County

Healthy Start offers free education and support, care coordination and resource referrals for all pregnant women and parents with an infant 1 year or younger. A Healthy Start prenatal screening form is completed at the doctor's office, and an infant screening form is completed at the time of birth. However, a self-referral can be made by calling. Our team of Connect staff will review risk-factors that can lead to a poor health outcome, provide education and inform families of the different home-visiting services, including Healthy Start, that are available at no cost to them. If enrolled in Healthy Start, a care coordinator will get in touch with families and arrange a home-visit to provide services. We also provide free childbirth education classes and CAFE parent support groups for parents with an infant 6 months or younger. The Transition House is a behavioral health organization serving the public and homeless veterans. Services are offered to male veterans, and our facility can host 40 male veterans.
